Vijay Barboza elected President of LKAE

Dubai, Dec 2: Lourdes Kanajar Association of Emirates held its 8th general body meeting on the 2nd of December 2011. The meeting was organized in the form of an outdoor picnic at Dubai’s Mushrif park where over 50 parishioners attended the full day family event. Vijay Barboza has been unanimously elected as the 8th president of LKAE since its inception 11 years ago.

As UAE celebrated its 40th national day on Dec-2, the entire emirate was in a celebration mood so do Kanajarians having full of fun & frolic with fellow parishioners. In the morning session, Leo Mendonca and group conducted several group games, games for children followed by breaking the pot and tug of war in the afternoon session. A delicious Mangalorean buffet breakfast & lunch was prepared by newly inaugurated Bangalore restaurant Sharjah.

Outgoing president Joy D’Souza thanked all the parishioners for their whole-hearted support and also acknowledged the good work carried out by his committee in the last few years.
