KWAK Celebrates Parish Feast

Kuwait, Dec 6: Kanajar Welfare Association Kuwait, also known as 'Lourdes Zamath', Association of Kanajarians residing in Kuwait Celebrated their Parish Feast in Kuwait. This feast is celebrated here in Kuwait every year with all the Kanajarian families residing here in Kuwait and also in adoration of our patron, Our Lady of Lourdes.

The event started with the holy mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Henry Sequeira, Chancellor of Mangalore Diocese, at 4:30 pm in
adoration and praise of our Lady of Lourdes at the Holy Family Cathedral, Kuwait.

Soon after the mass, in the evening at 7 pm, a get-together was held at the City Mughlai hotel, Kuwait. Guests in honor were Fr. Melwyn D'Cunha, Parish priest of Holy Family Cathedral, Kuwait, Fr. Henry Sequeira, Chancellor of Mangalore diocese, Mr. Paulose, Guardian in charge of Glarida Education Trust, Ranganpalke and Mr. Lawrence Saldanha, Founder President of KWAK.

President Mr. Anthony Miranda welcomed all the guests in honor and the crowd. After the Welcoming ceremony, games were held for the children and the adults alike. The annual prize for the Lucky member of the year 2009 was won by Mr. Anthony Lobo. On this occasion two of our Kanajar children, Ian And Riya, celebrated their birthdays by cutting the birthday cake.

After the leisure games and prize distribution, tasty and delicious dinner was served to all. The special dish 'Dukramas' was prepared by the KWAK members.

The MC for the evening, Mr. Edward D'souza kept the spirit of the party lively and joyful with his jokes and entertaining comments and thanked the crowd on behalf of all the KWAK members. The event which lasted till late night was well appreciated by all and all the guests went home happily.
