Patoral Visit by the Bishop to Kanajar Parish

Kanajar, Jan 13: Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese, embarked on a pastoral visit to Kanajar parish from January 10 to 13. Parish priest Rev. Fr. Harold Pereira accorded a warm welcome to the Bishop. The four days pastoral visit saw several programs being conducted, viz. meetings with parish pastoral council and other organizations such as Altar Boys, Girls' Sodality, Missionary Children, ICYM and YCS, meet with Lourdes English Medium School faculty and staff, cemetery visit and prayer for departed, inter-religious Sauharda meet with the leaders from various religious communities, basic ecclesial community meet, mass at the convent of sisters, visit to a sick, etc. About 45 youth were conferred the sacrament of confirmation by the Bishop on this occasion.
