KWAK Family Picnic

Kuwait Oct 23: Kanajar Welfare Association Kuwait (KWAK) members had a fun filled day on the pleasant weather weekend of Friday 23 Oct at the Ahmadi Gardens, Kuwait. Families started to arrive with great enthusiasm. Kids were filled with joy for some family time.

The day began with the prayer by KWAK Secretary Charlotte DSouza thanking the Almighty for the wonderful day and the weather. Melwin Mascarenhas took over the event by welcoming the KWAK Family. Before begin the games, grabbed a quick breakfast prepared by Deepak Martis with the help of Inas Menezes. All energized with joy and excitement as a family began the picnic with dodging the ball. In addition KWAK celebrated Committee member Jyothi Fernandes’s birthday to increase the joy at the picnic

Games were conducted for children and adults by Edward DSouza, Melwin Mascarenhas, Ivy Godwin Rodrigues, Anil Britto and Leena Placid Fernandes. The most important thing behind the picnic was time for the Barbeque. The men behind the success of delicious Barbeque are Deepak Martis, Robert Cyril Menezes, Anil Britto, InasMenezes and Benedict Saldanha.
Grace before meal was recited by Edward Dsouza. Weather was getting better as the day was going on.

On this occasion had a Send Off to KWAK’s most loved and founder member Rose Mary and her husband Lancy Mendonca, as they leave back to their home country. Mr. Lawrence Saldanha gave a wonderful send off and handed over a memento as a sign of love by the KWAK Family.

Since the time was passing on, had game for all "Housie Housie" by Edward DSouza and Steve Ruben Rodrigues. Edward Dsouza proposed the vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to the committee members specially Charlotte Dsouza, Sharol Menezes and Steve Ruben Rodrigues for organizing the event and Melwin & Shalet Mascarenhas for the photography. Picnic ended with Leena Placid Fernandes’s surprise game.
