LKAE Decennial Celebrations

Kanajar, Dec 25: Lourdes Kanajar Association Emirates (LKAE) celebrated its Decennial at Kanajar Sauharda Bhavan. The program began at 5:30 PM with a welcome song from LKAE members. Later a brief stage program was held which was presided over by parish priest Rev. Fr. Alwyn D'Cunha. LKAE president Mr. Joy D'Souza welcomed the guest dignitaries on the dais who were presented with bouquets. LKAE's prominent members Mr. Stanely D'Souza, Mr. Thomas Saldanha and Mr. Aloysius D'Souza were present on the dais along with Mr. Iganatius D'Souza (LKAE representative at Kanajar), Mrs. Mable Nazareth (vice president, parish council), Mr. Denis D'Souza (secretary, parish council) and Br. Richard.

LKAE ex-president Mr. Thomas Saldanha presented the past achievements of LKAE though power point projection. He provided the details about financial support given by the association for various projects at Kanajar especially the aid for the higher education of poor students. In his speech Fr. Alwyn D'Cunha lauded the good work by the association and wished them the best in the future. Students who had excelled in the curricular and extra-curricular activities were honored by LKAE on this occasion. LKAE founding president Mr. Stanely D'Souza proposed vote of thanks. Prakash Martis compered the program.

The LKAE members later entertained the crowd with skits and song. Snacks and ice creams were provided to all the gathered people.

A Konkani comedy play "Kombyak Shinga Ailyar" from Nellu Permannur was then played which was thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd.
