Christmas Celebrations at Kanajar

Kanajar, Dec 23: The message of Christmas (birth festival of Jesus Christ) was spread publicly in the vicinity of Lourdes Church Kanajar. A Christmas procession on the vehicles was organized at the Church which was led to near by Bailur. Santa himself led the procession by riding on a motor bike. A tableau depicting the scene of the birth of Jesus Christ was wonderfully done. Sunshine Band from Perampalli added glamour to the occasion.

On reaching Bailur a skit was played in Kannada by ICYM and YCS members. This was accompanied with the cute dance by the little 'angels'. The joyous Santa Claus added to the festive mood. Parish priest Rev. Fr. Alwyn D'Cunha in his short speech gave the message of Christmas. Cakes were distributed to all the gathered people.

The procession was then moved to Palli and later concluded at Ranganapalke.
