Kuwait, March 31: A beautiful day of bright sunshine, competitive sports, fun-filled games, excellent food of Mangalorean taste by Tip Top Caterers, those who have worked and participated in the just concluded KWAK Picnic will agree with these expressions from the satisfied crowd.

The event started at 10AM with the opening of breakfast - a Kanajar special soft idlis
served with chatni.
Edward D'Souza, KWAK Treasurer and Master of Ceremony for the day opened the proceedings with the
brief introduction of KWAK in his unique poetic words. KWAK Auditor, Shalet D'Souza then recited
the prayer followed by a brief welcome address by the President Mr. Lawrence Saldanha Kanajar.

KWAK's dynamic ladies Rose, Reeda, Reshma, Jyothi and Shalet then kicked off games starting with
game for children then youngsters and finally for seniors. Vado wise competition of Water collection
by hand turned out to be the most interesting game in which Salmiya Vado headed by Henry
Britto emerged Champions. In another game for couples, Brides offered their hair
for Grooms to plant straws with the victorious couple planting 40 straws in less
than half a minute. Anthony Miranda, KWAK Sports Secretary took charge of shot
put throw for both men and women in which over 50 enthusiastic sports persons
took active part. Salmiya and Kuwait City Vado teamed together against Fahaheel
and Farwaniya Vado for the most interesting tug of war in 3 rounds, Salmiya -
Kuwait City Team was the Champion in the final decisive round.
Earlier a brief felicitation was held for KWAK special invitees Mrs & Mr. Charles D'Sa,
Chief Guest, Mr. Archie Menezes President St. Aloysius Alumni Association Kuwait, Mrs. Nancy
Menezes, President Kundapur Varado Welfare Association and KCWA representative Mr. Lancy Rodriques.
KWAK expressed thanks to Spinneys Confectionary for sponsoring prizes for games
and Delta Printing Press for free printing of gate passes.
KWAK guest Lancy Rodriques kept the crowd on the move with his lively talk. Tip Top Caterers supplied the
delicious food and the program concluded with the vote of thanks by General Secretary Rose Mary Mendonca.
