KWAK celebrates "Monthi Festh - 2005"

Kuwait, Sep 9: Kanajar Welfare Association Kuwait, members had a great day on 9th September 05, as they organized the celebration of "MONTI FEST" in Kuwait.

A good quantity of the newly harvested corn 'NOVEM' was blessed and was sent all members by Fr. Alwyn D'Cunna, Parish Priest, Kanajar had arrived at the event which was indeed a big surprise to all Kanajarians.

The President, Melwin Mascarnehas welcomed the members and family and thanked them for their continued support. The programme started at 1.30 pm by an opening prayer by Master. Errol Menezes that was concluded by the Holy hyme dedicated to Mother Mary Sakkad Sangata Melya.

Time for fun and play and what's better than a game of Housie Housie, which was organized by Melwin, enjoyed by every young and old with a lot of prizes up for grabs. The best cooks of Kanajar members prepared lot of traditional food. Flavia Menezes, Mary Menezes, Rose Mendonca, Reeda Saldanha, Linda D'Souza, Julian Mendonca, Shirley D'Souza and Jecintha Pinto . Master Shawn Pinto said the grace before meal.

After having a jolly good time, we finished the occasion at 4:00 pm with an ending hyme Laudathe of thanksgiving to our Blessed Mother and with lots of fond memories of the occasion; we promised to unite once again to give Honour and thanks to our Blessed Mother Mary (the Patron of Kanajar Parish) in many more years to come.
