KIDCHAMP 2008 Dance Competition Elimination Round Enthuses Dance Lovers

Kuwait, Apr 11: As announced earlier, elimination round of KIDCHAMP 2008 was held at the Indian Senior Girls School Salmiya on Friday 11th April 2008.

The competition started with the lighting of the Lamp by the Judges Sr. Mary Darshini of Carmel School, Mrs. Lekha Ramachandran of Indian Central School and Mrs Nupur Sharma of Gulf Indian School Fahaheel along with KWAK President Lawrence Saldanha and General Secretary Rose Mary Mendonca. President gave a brief background of the competition and introduced the Judges to the audience.

Of the 40 odd contestants performed for the competition, 5 were selected under the junior category, 4 under Classical and 2 for the Senior Championship Grand Finale to be held on April 18, 2008 at the Masrah Audiorium Hawalli.

At the end of the competition, all participants were awarded certificates of participation.

It was a tough challenge to judge contestants especially in the junior category as most of them were extremely talented and fine dancers, commented Judges at the end of the competition

After the conclusion of elimination round, organizers Kanajar Welfare Association Kuwait appeared upbeat and expressed the confidence that the Grand Finale will be a great entertainer for the dance enthusiastic audience of Kuwait.

General Secretary Rose Mary Mendonca conducted the program and proposed vote of thanks.
