Kanajar, Nov 13: The festival of Deepavali, "Belakina Habba" (festival
of lights) was celebrated at Kanajar under the auspices of Shree Brahmalingeshwara Friends
Kanajar. The event was celebrated with patriotism by lighting the Deepavali lamps in honor
of Mother India.
Delivering the main speech Sri Dayanananda Kattalesar explained the scientific notion of Deepavali festival. He described the grand heritage and culture of the Indian continent and cited the dangers of modern day youth embrasing the western culture. Earlier the honorary president of Shree Brahmalingeshwara Friends Sri Vikram Hegde welcomed the distinguished guests and commended the good work of SBF in organizing blood camp and other welfare programs.

Malini Shetty, felicitated person Smt. Vinaya S Shetty, Kanajar village

were present on the dais. Secretary Sri Pradeep Kumar proposed vote of thanks.
Later the talented youths and children presented entertainment programs to the
audience. Shivaprasad Shetty and Nithesh Shetty compered the program.
